Introduction
The main purpose of this role is to accurately process materials received and finished products dispatched to and from the operation, ensuring that all documentation is correct, and masses are accurately recorded and posted to the ERP system. The role plays a vital part in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of Ingrain manufacturing processes.
Job description

Weighing and Recording                      

Operate the weighbridge software and equipment to accurately measure the weight of incoming raw materials, such as maize, and outgoing finished products, ensuring precision and consistency.

Record all weight measurements in the designated databases or logs promptly and accurately.

Keep accurate records of all weighbridge activities, including receipts, invoices, and any relevant documentation.

 Quality Control           

Collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure that all products meet established quality standards by cross-referencing weight measurements with product specifications. Ensuring that all dispatches are in accordance with quality requirements and that deliveries are conducted in approved tankers with the correct cerificates of analysis, properly sealed and seals recorded.

 Communication                       

Maintain clear and effective communication with truck drivers, production personnel, and other relevant team members to ensure a smooth flow of materials and information.

 SHEQ               

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of all employees and visitors in the weighbridge area.

Maintenance                

Perform routine maintenance checks on the weighbridge equipment to ensure it operates optimally. Report any malfunctions or issues to the maintenance team for timely repairs.

Reporting                       

Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on weighbridge activities, including material intake and product dispatch.

 

Minimum requirements

Qualifications 

National Senior Certificate/Grade 12

Certificate or Equivalent Basic accounting or stock control qualification

National Diploma in Logistics (Adventageous)             

Work Experience

Weighbridge Operating1-3 years     

Basic Computer Experience

Knowledge and Skills              

Weighbridge Operating          

Proficiency in using weighbridge equipment

Effective Written and Verbal communication skills.           

Understanding of safety regulations

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and work in various weather conditions.

Computer Skills          

Basic Understanding of Trucks and Logistic aspects         

Knowledge of Stock Control
