Introduction
Ensuring the availability of critical engineering spares and tools needed to maintain Mill equipment as well as ensuring the availability of all process chemicals and packaging material needed to pack final products. Ensuring sufficient supply of coal for the generation of steam and FBC consumption Ensure plant and general waste is controlled by segregation and recycling or safe disposal thereof.
Job description

Financial

           

Achieves results through others with optimal use of resources        

Controls working capital through predetermined minimum and maximum stock levels

Monitors departmental variable costs and implement saving initiatives

Conducting monthly stock takes and reporting on the variances and corrective actions needed

Identifying obsolete and slow-moving stock and take appropriate action.

Ensure all credit notes are processed with regards to waste recycling and records kept of disposed volumes 

Continuous monitoring of people and processes to ensure pilferage is minimized

 

People

 

Clearly communicate business values, THS strategic goals and departmental goals

Responsible for the performance management of team members and providing appropriate feedback relating to gaps identified and individual development plans

Maintain good Industrial Relations within the team

Delegates tasks/areas of responsibility in accordance with team strengths and development areas

Ensure team operates within SHERQ standards

Update, develop and improve Works Instructions

Mapping and driving activities/workflow processes to ensure value added in the department

Ensure adequate availability of tools, resources and training to the team

Audit tasks and activities conducted by team members to ensure adherence to work instructions and procedures

Giving input into renewal/replacement of service contracts

 

Customers

Ensure that all goods received comply with quality and safety standards. Deviation to standards to be communicated with Procurement and Suppliers.

Build effective relations with all stakeholders serviced by Stores

Ensures service providers comply with agreed service levels

Understand customer needs (internal) and supplier contribution to drive operational results

 

Sustainability

Ensures team focus on safety, health, environment and community activities and measures

 

Minimum requirements

Education

National Diploma Logistics Management / Materials handling / Stock keeping

Matric

 

Work Experience

5 Years Supervisory experience

Materials Handling experience          

Small projects management  

SAP     Supervisory

Procurement process experiences

 

Knowledge and Skills

 

ISO Quality, Safety and Environmental systems
