To operate Spray and Flash processes and safely meet targeted production volumes and quality Ensuring that product is produced according to DIFOTIS principle to meet customer requirements.
Job description

Finance
  • Produce to plant capacity and meet daily, weekly, monthly demands and forecast.
Profitability
  • Improve profitability of the business by improving plant efficiency and maximizing productivit
  • Ensure product in mixing tanks is within specification and pumped into correct storage tanks.
Sustainabilit
  •  Ensure effluent losses is within specification to minimize the environmental impact
  • Ensure compliance to health, safety, environment and community legislation
  • Ensure job safety before any maintenance can take place by any contractor or artisan
  • Record lab losses TOC and give explanations on high losses with preventative actions to stop the loss
Business Process
  • Make recommendations on updating of work instructions and take full responsibility of safety in your workplace.
  • Ensure compliances with all internal and external food safety regulations and legislations as per FSSC 22000.
Continuous Improvement
  • Utilize BBS methodology, systems and tools ( huddle) to ensure continuous improvement
Plant administration
  • Ensure plant effectiveness by carrying out critical process checks.
  • Record process control figures and performances on log sheet
  • Report all relevant data concerning operation downtime, changes and product deviation from specifications with the corrective action in appropriate logbook
Quality
  • Ensuring that product is produced according to the DIFOTIS principle to meet customer requirements
  • Control the plant according to work instructions
  • Communicate with the shift lab analyst during the shift to ensure the product quality is within specification
Productivity & Efficiency
  •  Ensure start up checks are done before starting the plant
  • Ensure the utility usage is within target on a shift basis
  • Monitor IA operation and make adjustments to process to eliminate deviations from the norm.
  • Ensure the pH control of E7 is working properly in order to avoid penalty fees from municipality
Housekeeping
  • Ensure the plant and the workplace is clean
  • Ensure that no spares and left lying around and 5S is adhere to.

Minimum requirements

Grade 12
Chemical Operation level 1/2/3
National Diploma: Chemical Engineering
